Greater Panama City Dog Fanciers’ Association
(GPCDFA)
The Greater Panama City Dog Fanciers’ Association, Inc. (GPCDFA) is a not-for-profit organization based in Panama City Florida. GPCDFA was chartered by the AKC and incorporated in the state of Florida in 1972.
The club’s first competitive conformation match was held in 1973 for local and surrounding area dogs. Since the club’s inception, our activities have expanded to include puppy, agility, obedience, rally, and other training classes’ as well as educational programs such as Responsible Dog Ownership Day.
Club members in the past and to date participate in many community events such as Pet Week poster contests through the Bay County schools, Halloween Dog-O-Ween costume contests, Oktoberfest Weiner Dog contests, Panama City Christmas Parade, St. Andrews Bay Centers' Spring Fling, the Scottish Festival, Walk & Roll, and many others. We actively support area pet rescue organizations such as the Humane Society of Bay County, etc.
We are dedicated to providing all dog enthusiasts, purebred and mixed breed, an environment in which good sportsmanship and responsible dog ownership is promoted through a variety of activities. The club hopes its involvement and influence continue far into the future.
