Fall Agility Trial & Barn Hunt

Agility Trial Secretary:  June Ebert (www.juneagility.com).  This event is hosted by the ORKC and the Panama City Dog Fanciers Club.  There will be 2 rings, one Standard and one Jumpers and Weaves!  Agility will take place in the covered arena and footing is packed clay.

Barn Hunt: All breeds including mixed breeds are welcome to participate in a barn hunt!  If you plan to enter your dog in barn hunts, you must FIRST register your dog with the Barn Hunt Association.  Visit www.BarnHunt.com for registration information.

North Florida Classic Cluster

Our annual American Kennel Club conformation show will be held at the North Florida Fair Grounds February 21-25, 2018. The show includes conformation, agility, barn hunt, lure coursing and obedience trials. Please see ORKC Events Website for Premium and schedule details.  Spectators are welcome. We partner with Okaloosa Kennel Club and Ochlockonee River Kennel Club to create the North Florida Classic Cluster.

AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day (RDOD)

Each year, the American Kennel Club® calls on its more than 5,000 affiliated dog clubs and other pet-related organizations from around the country to participate in AKC RDO Days.  The nationwide initiative educates the public about the importance of being a responsible dog owner and celebrates the deep bond between humans and their canine companions.

Greater Panama City Dog Fanciers' is proudly hosting their Annual AKC RDO Days event which is free to the public. Gates will open to the public at 10:00 a.m. Guests that arrive between 10:00 - 10:15a.m. will be given a ticket for a door prize drawing. Door Prize donated by Breeze Animal Hospital contains dog products valued at $250.00.

The fun begins with Springfield City Mayor, Ralph Hammond, reading the RDOD Proclamation, followed by our salute to the American Flag with our own WJHG TV's Neysa Wilkins singing our National Anthem.   After that it's right into a variety of fun activities for all (dog sport demos, games, puppy whisker face painting, etc..).  There will be a micro-chipping clinic, you can also sign up to test your dog for AKC's Canine Good Citizen Certification or Tricks Certification. We will have a variety of snacks, home baked goods, water and soda's that you can purchase on site.    Bring yourself and your furry friends (all dogs must be on leash) and join in the fun!
